Estimates

Free 15 minute consultations to provide estimates on time/cost of evaluations is available by phone.

Things discussed during phone consultations for estimates
  • I ask a few screening questions to get a sense of what would be helpful for your personalized evaluation.

  • Describe the evaluation process and types of measures that would likely be used for you.

  • Reports are typically completed within 3-5 business days and provided to you with a superbill.

  • Provide an estimated range of costs for personalized evaluation.

    • Hourly fee $250

    • Standard ADHD evaluations for adults are typically 6-9 hours (face to face time plus report writing time), and for children are  5-8 hours. This can vary and will be discussed related to your personalized evaluation.

    • I do not accept insurance, although I do provide a superbill that can be used by individuals to pursue their own reimbursement from insurance after services are provided.

    • For individuals that want to talk with their insurance carrier before scheduling an evaluation, I send an email that grants access to my client portal. A document is available there that can help guide you through the discussion about possible reimbursement with your insurance carrier.

    • Accepted payment methods on appointment day: Check, Credit Card, HSA/FSA

  • Inform you of soonest available appointment. Generally, evaluations are scheduled starting at 8am or 9am. I have a waitlist if you are interested in evaluation time slots that open up sooner than your scheduled evaluation.

Six Hour Evaluation Process

  •  Intake/History Gathering (first 60-90 minutes)

  • Administration of testing measures (bulk of appointment)

  • Scoring of testing measures (10-15 minutes)

  • Feedback of results (40-80 minutes)

    • As part of the feedback process, I provide educational information specific to ADHD if it is diagnosed. Disclaimer: I am not a prescriber and refer out for medication management. Many individuals come into the evaluation process reluctant to consider stimulant medications given misinformed public opinions about ADHD and stimulant medications. My goal is not to pressure you into acceptance of pharmaceutical options, but to ensure that you are able to make informed decisions about your or your child's ongoing treatment.

    • Dispelling myths about ADHD and stimulant medications

    • Discussion of research on forms of treatment for ADHD

    • Understanding different models of stimulant medication trials used by prescribers

    • Important things to consider and discuss with your prescriber

    • Tips for working with your pharmacy successfully
